Project Cool Program

The summer months of June through August inflict considerably high temperatures and humidity in San Antonio. As part of a coalition with the City of San Antonio Department of Human Services, United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Charities is continuing the Project Cool program during this period. The program provides a free 20-inch box fan to adults ages 55 and older or disabled who are disabled to provide heat relief and prevent heat-related illness during the hot summer months. To qualify for those younger than 55, a valid ID or disability verification is required.
